If the Recipient Is Not Available

Sometimes the recipient may not be available when the flowers arrive. If this happens, the florist or delivery person may try to contact the recipient using the phone number provided during checkout. They may also use the delivery notes to check whether the flowers can be left with a reception desk, security desk, neighbour, colleague or another authorised person. What happens next depends on the delivery address, florist process, recipient availability and the type of location. Delivery to offices, hospitals, hotels, apartment buildings and private homes may require different handling. If the recipient cannot be reached and delivery cannot be completed safely, the florist may contact Gondol support or the sender. In some cases, another delivery attempt may be possible, but this is not always guaranteed. Fresh flowers are time sensitive. If delivery fails because the recipient is unavailable, the address is incomplete or access is not possible, refund options may be limited after the florist has already prepared the product. To help avoid delivery problems, provide a correct recipient phone number, full address and useful delivery notes before placing your order.
